India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) has set another record. In March 2026, the network processed over 2,264 crore transactions worth about ₹29.53 lakh crore in a single month.
That continues a climb that began at under a billion transactions a year in 2018. UPI now runs beyond India too, with acceptance links to Singapore, the UAE, France, Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
